Hosted by the award-winning design company Marmalade House Design, this hands-on course is a full day of colour, interior design and mood-boarding. The aim of the course is to dispel the fear of using colour and design within the home, to enable you to create a bespoke colour-scheme for a room or interior space you have in mind.
The day begins by looking at the science of colour, learning how to mix it, how the traditional colour wheel works, and how to apply it to your home. We then look at interior design styles and influences, and give guidance on how to refine your own personal style. The afternoon is then spent painting room sets, using knowledge acquired in the morning, adding in blending fabrics, and culminating in the preparation of a colour scheme of your own.
The course runs from 10am to 4pm and includes all materials, a home-made farmhouse lunch and refreshments.
Just bring yourself, an apron to work in and enthusiam to get stuck in for the day!
