Colour has the power to transform a painting, creating light, atmosphere, emotion, and visual impact. Join artist Rick Worthington for an accessible introduction to the fundamentals of colour theory for oil painters who want to strengthen their understanding and use of colour.Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and painting applications, students will learn about warm and cool colours, complementary relationships, colour mixing, neutralization, and colour harmony. Emphasis will be placed on developing confidence in colour selection and understanding how colour influences mood, depth, and the overall success of a painting.
