Rooted in the Italian tradition of the Venetian Renaissance, colorìto refers to the expressive use of color—how color, light, and atmosphere can create emotion, depth, and movement within a work of art. Venetian artists became renowned for their rich, luminous colors and their ability to use color as an essential part of storytelling and expression.
