About this Event
The Met invites college and university students in the New York City metro area to attend an exclusive after-hours College Night event! Food, drinks, a DJ, and a dance floor in the Great Hall will set the scene, while participants are invited to participate in activities that include drop-in drawing, jewelry making, a photobooth, and a temporary tattoo station.
The evening will also feature a special student dance performance by a Juilliard ensemble and exclusive access to several Met galleries, including the newly-opened Costume Institute galleries and exhibition.
Attendees will be invited to vote for their favorite design among the finalists in the 2026 Costume Institute College Fashion Design Competition. Finalists in the 2D and 3D fashion design categories will be on display before competition winners are announced and awarded.
Participants are invited to wear festive attire and to take inspiration from the Costume Art exhibition, which will be on view.
This event is open to currently enrolled college and university students with a valid student ID. Doors will close when at capacity, so an early arrival is suggested.
