About this Event

Learn to Collage!

This introductory workshop is designed for creatives of all levels - from beginners to masters. Anyone with an interest in exploring the world of art is welcome! We'll go over a brief history of collage and some basic art fundamentals, draw inspiration from the works of famous artists, and then, under the expert guidance of Jamie DeAngelis, a seasoned mixed media artist, we'll create our own masterpieces! We will have all the necessary supplies, such as scissors, blades, glue, self-healing cutting mats, and tape. Each person will also receive a How-To Collage zine and a Reusable envelope full of 100+ images (a $30 value) to take home.

Space is limited in our studio- we are able to accommodate 10 attendees. Sign up now to secure your spot!

Guest Instructor: Jamie DeAngelis

Jamie DeAngelis is a Philadelphia-based mixed media artist creating vibrant works with second-hand materials. Her process conveys an uplifting message that beauty can be found in the mundane and that the creative process is just as important as the final product. Her work is characterized by the use of bright colors and absurd assemblage that bring vitality to old advertisements and print materials. Jamie can often be found leading collage socials and creating at Cassie's Craft Coven in Old City. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Paper Making from Rosemont College and a Master's degree in Science in Nonprofit Administration from Drexel University.
