This is for Pie in Your Face Day.
Pie in the Face Day celebrated annually on November 27.
Key Details
• Date: Observed every year on November 27.
• Origin: Rooted in slapstick comedy, tracing back to early silent films like the 1909 film Mr. Flip and music hall sketches like Mumming Birds (1904).
• How It Is Celebrated: People playfully smash or throw cream-filled pies (or pie tins with whipped cream/shaving cream) at friends, family members, or at charity fundraisers where participants pay to pie teachers or public figures.
• Important Distinction: It is different from National Pie Day on January 23 (which focuses on baking and eating pies) and Pi Day on March 14 (the math celebration).
