ABOUT COIL
Led by Tasdance Executive Director Adam Wheeler, COIL brings together 8 professional dancers, 60 local dance lovers, and the world’s most popular toy: the Slinky.
Using Slinkys as tactile partners, COIL explores analogue play and our need for connection in an increasingly digital world. Dancers negotiate tension, resistance, and release, making relationships visible through physical cause and effect.
As the work builds towards its feel-good, participatory conclusion, COIL leans into the power of partnering en masse — extending a festival-wide invitation to connect, play, and move together.
