About this Event
Special Forces life rarely runs on schedule. Training rotations, deployments, TDYs, PCS moves and last-minute changes affect our marriages and families, and they affect our friendships within the spouse community too.
October's Coffee & Chat is a relaxed, spouse-only morning for 7th SFG 18-Series spouses to talk honestly about one question:
How do we stay connected when life gets busy or unpredictable?
This month builds on our August and September conversations, when we asked what we need from our spouse community and how we can show up for one another. Whether you've been to every gathering or this is your first, you're welcome at the table.
What We'll Talk About
- Keeping communication going when plans change without warning
- Why connection looks different in different seasons of SF life
- Sharing what you need instead of hoping others will guess
- Giving each other grace during high-tempo or stressful stretches
- Staying close to friends through deployments, TDYs, training and PCS moves
- Noticing when a fellow spouse may be pulling away or feeling isolated
- Simple ways to check in that don't add pressure
- Why asking for support matters as much as offering it
There's no expectation here about how often you should reach out or show up. This is a conversation about how small, intentional acts of connection help friendships hold strong through demanding seasons.
What You'll Leave With
Stronger relationships, practical ideas for staying connected through change, and more confidence in both offering and asking for support within the 18-Series spouse community.
