Join us in the beautiful Michigan Room at the Glass Academy on “Black Tot Day” for a brand new cocktail class showcasing British Navy Rum. Local cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift will lead a discussion on the intertwined history of rum and British navy that spans centuries and still influences our language and drinking habits today. During the class guests will learn to make (and then enjoy) two cocktails highlighting rich and flavorful navy rum.
In between crafting the two cocktails, guests will attend a live interactive glass-blowing demonstration in the Glass Academy’s Hot Shop. Guests will end the evening with all recipes used during the class, an appreciation of local handmade glassware, and a few more stories to share with friends.
Must be 21+ to attend.
