Coastal Ballers Basketball provides a fun and welcoming first step into the sport.
Through activities and games, children will develop confidence, movement and fundamental basketball skills including running, jumping, catching, dribbling, passing and shooting.
The programme is run through East Norfolk Sixth Form College as an expansion of the successful Coastal Ballers football programme, and forms part of the pathway into Great Yarmouth Basketball Club.
Parents and carers are welcome to stay and watch. Children should wear comfortable sports clothing and suitable indoor trainers, and bring a bottle of water. Basketballs and other equipment are provided.
Which pathway is right for my child?
Coastal Ballers is primarily for younger beginners and children who are not yet ready for regular team basketball.
Children in School Year 4 or above who already have basketball experience and are actively looking to train towards playing team basketball may be better suited to the Great Yarmouth Basketball Club U11 Development programme.
