About this Event
Over 100 local agencies operate in institutional isolation across Skid Row, leaving vulnerable individuals to navigate a traumatizing administrative maze alone. Founded by Darren Harvey and Akilah Salaam—two individuals who survived housing instability and mental health challenges on Skid Row by acting as each other's caseworkers—Friends Under Critical Conditions in Time INC. is changing the narrative.
Through the Community Navigation Ecosystem (CNES), we are shifting the paradigm from a fragmented "resource chase" into a unified network centered around the person. On Monday, October 5, 2026, we are launching our pilot initiative and hosting two focus groups to gather lived-experience feedback on our new dual-mode resource accessibility tools.
We need dedicated volunteers to stand with us and help ensure the day runs smoothly! Your support directly empowers our unhoused neighbors in Service Planning Area 4 (SPA 4).
