Guitar Duo: Bach’s French Suite No. 2 and more in Concert and Conversation with Will Ludan and Sharon Wayne
Guitarists Sharon Wayne and Will Ludan will present a Duo Concert and Conversation featuring J. S. Bach’s beautiful French Suite No. 2, BWV 813, and works by Palestrina, Scarlatti, and others. Highlighted in relaxed pre- and post-concert conversation will be aspects of Renaissance and Baroque music including historical context and compositional device, original instrumentation vs. adaptation for modern guitars, and more.

received her BM and MM degrees from USC and has been an active performer and teacher in the San Francisco and Boston areas for over 30 years. She has recorded six CDs of solo and chamber music. Passionate about new music, she has premiered works by CMC faculty Erik Pearson and Davide Verotta; local composers Steve Mobia and Nancie Kester; as well as by internationally renowned Carlo Domeniconi and Dušan Bogdanoviċ, Frank Wallace, Scott August, David Paul Mesler, and others. She is excited to collaborate with colleague Will Ludan on this event!
has performed locally as soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in master classes for renowned artists Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Manuel Barrueco, Abel Carlevaro, David Leisner, Michael Lorimer, David Russell and George Sakellariou. Will studied ensemble performance with the Alexander String Quartet. Performed for live radio broadcasts and works with other instrumentalists.
