WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2025
2:15pm - 4:45pm: "Egyptian Orientale"
Experience the essence of Egyptian Oriental dance with Arielle! Students will focus on elegance and emotional expression by using classical and modern Egyptian techniques in this choreography-based workshop. Lyrics will be broken down for each section in order to fully experience the magic of the music and how to express it with sincerity and grace.

10am-12pm: "Shaabi Pop"
Learn a sassy Shaabi Pop choreography with Arielle! This dynamic choreography features many trendy Egyptian moves, straight from Cairo. All lyrics, gestures, and cultural context will be explained. Bring your attitude and get ready for a good time!

Please note that sign-ups for the hafla at El Mansour are now full. You can still support your fellow dancers and make a reservation to see the show! Please note that the restaurant will expect all guests/customers to order dinner with the show.

ABOUT ARIELLE
Arielle is a dynamic and passionately dedicated dancer, instructor, and choreographer who is from Orlando and Miami, Florida (USA). She has been living and working in Cairo since 2019. Arielle’s infatuation with raqs sharqi began when she was growing up in Egypt, where she fell in love with Middle Eastern culture, music, and dance. Her first bellydance performance was in Cairo at age 10 and she has been obsessed ever since. These unique experiences living in the heart of Egypt give her an understanding of the music and culture that is unparalleled amongst her peers and allows her to relate to Egyptians and people from the Middle East in an authentic and genuine way. Arielle strives to stay true to the essence of raqs sharqi, while exploring ways of keeping it fresh for her beloved audiences and students.
Arielle is the winner of several competitions and was a finalist on Egypt’s first bellydance competition show, Al Rakessa/The Bellydancer, which was directed and judged by the infamous dancer Dina. As a result of Arielle’s success on this TV program, she became an overnight sensation in Egypt and currently holds the heart of the Egyptian people due to her ability to represent the dance and culture with love, respect, and authenticity.
