🏸 WE’VE CHANGED HOW WE PLAY! 🏸Same friendly Stone Badminton Club – but with a new and more fun way to play doubles!
We’ve swapped our old peg-board system for a ladder-style format, and it’s proving to be great fun.
Everyone starts a doubles game at the same time. When one game finishes, everyone stops, the winners move up, the losers move down and everyone changes partners before the next game.
So you’re constantly playing with different people, meeting new opponents and getting a good mix of games. There’s a little bit of friendly competition too — you never quite know who you’ll be playing with or against next!
And don’t worry if we don’t have exactly the right number of players — we simply arrange short breaks so everyone gets plenty of time on court.
It’s relaxed, sociable, competitive and, most importantly, fun! 😊🏸
If you’ve played with us before, come and try the new format. And if you haven’t been along yet, why not give us a go?
📅 Tuesdays, 7pm–9pm
📍 Alleynes Sports Centre, Stone
We’re a friendly club for players who can already play and enjoy a reasonable standard of doubles. Not suitable for complete beginners.
Same club. New way to play. Come and join us! 🏸
