Clothes Have Stories: Five Years of Project Fashion Fixed
Clothing. Creativity. Curiosity.
Join us at the Barbican Creative Hub in Lincoln for a special interactive exhibition celebrating five years of Project Fashion Fixed and the wonderful community of young people, artists and collaborators who have been part of our journey.
What started as an idea in Lincoln has grown into a creative community reaching across the UK and beyond. This exhibition brings together a selection of the artwork, textiles, films and projects created along the way, alongside Kerry Gibson's own denim artwork, including her Giant Jeans!

Have you ever wondered what goes into making a pair of jeans?
Take a journey through the life of our clothes, exploring materials, people, carbon, consumption and waste. Discover the hidden connections between the things we wear, the people who make them and our planet.
And, importantly, explore what we can do differently.
Get creative!
In true Project Fashion Fixed style, this isn't just an exhibition to look at. We want you to get involved!
Throughout the exhibition, you can:
- Explore artwork, textiles, film, sound and interactive installations.
- Create your own zine at our drop-in making table.
- Have a go at weaving, embroidery and creative repair.
- Discover the stories behind everyday clothing.
- Meet artists, makers and some of the young people behind the project.
- Join us for special events, workshops and conversations.
We'll also be welcoming some very special guests, with more details about our programme to follow.
