Join ORANGERIE for the closing party of The California Image: Beyond the Commercial Frame, with photographer Greg Gorman in attendance. For more than five decades, Gorman has photographed many of the defining figures of film, music and contemporary culture, while developing a body of fine-art photography distinguished by its dramatic use of light and the human form.
A former commercial film director whose has won several Cannes Lions, Gary D Johns spent decades thinking about how images acquire meaning, persuade us and endure. His practice centers on photography, collage, assemblage, found material and the transformation of overlooked objects.
