Clinical Trials Capacity and Economic Growth

Our next Cross-Sector hub event, in partnership with The Academy of Medical Sciences will take place in Belfast on Tuesday 10th November and will look at cross-sector skills for building clinical trials capacity and economic growth.

The event will bring together perspectives from health and care, academia, patients, regulators and industry to explore how Northern Ireland can strengthen its clinical trials environment.

Key themes will include:

• improving patient access to research and designing trials around patients and communities;
• the changing clinical trials regulatory environment and practical implications for researchers and commercial sponsors;
• delivering trials across acute care, chronic disease, multimorbidity, primary care and community settings;
• developing the cross-sector skills and capabilities Northern Ireland needs for clinical research;
• strengthening infrastructure, commercial research and industry partnerships; and

identifying practical actions that could make Northern Ireland a more attractive environment for clinical trials and investment
