🐴🔨 This is where everything comes together.Our Saturday half-day clinic takes the concepts from the evening clinics and puts them into a real-world setting using live horses.
We’ll slow the trimming process down and explain what we’re seeing, what we plan to do and why each decision is being made.
We’ll cover:
• Evaluating live horses before trimming
• Discussing what we see
• Developing a trimming plan
• Demonstrating the full trim
• Explaining each decision in detail
• Re-evaluating the hoof after trimming
• Supervised hands-on rasping when appropriate
Bring Your Horse — $30 add-on
We will accept a maximum of 4 approved horses for the Saturday clinic.
Each approved horse will be evaluated and trimmed during the clinic.
Owners may also have the opportunity to participate in trimming their own horse under direct supervision when both the participant and instructors agree it is appropriate and safe.
Horse spots are:
• First come, first served
• Advance approval required
• Limited to 4 horses
• Horses must be reasonably safe to handle and stand for hoof care
• Current hoof photos may be requested before approval
