About this Event
Join ActionAid Australia and Climate Writers for our first ever Climate Writers workshop!
Together, we’ll learn how to write compelling letters and emails to our local MPs, calling for the systemic change needed to address the climate crisis.
As a global women’s rights organisation, ActionAid Australia works alongside women and communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis, conflict and emergencies. We believe that addressing the climate crisis requires systemic change and a government that takes the needs of those most affected seriously.
In partnership with Climate Writers, a grassroots organisation working to bridge the gap between what people care about and what governments do, we’re creating space for people to build their advocacy and letter writing skills and learn how to engage directly with political decision-makers.
Whether you’re passionate about women’s rights and climate justice or just beginning to explore political advocacy, this workshop is an opportunity to learn, connect and take your first steps towards creating change. No previous experience is necessary!
