About this Event
Join us in a relaxed safer space to come together as a community to discuss climate topics and our concerns about our climate and ecological crisis. Our event is supported by and co-hosted by ECCAN - Edinburgh's Climate Hub.
Our workshop aims to be a supportive space to learn about Climate Adaptation and discuss the climate issues that matter most to you. Whether you have a story to share about unusual whether occurrences in Edinburgh or you want find out what Climate Adaptation can look like for your community, we’d love to see you at the event! You don’t need to have any experience or knowledge of climate or sustainability, this event is open to everyone with an interest on the subject or a story to share.
This is taking place in the context of the Climate Ready South East Scotland project. Edinburgh’s climate is already changing, and will continue to do so. This means more extreme weather; hotter, drier summers, wetter winters, and rising sea levels. These changes will affect our communities, and the places we care about – where we live, work and play. This project aims to better understand how climate change will affect our region and highlight where more action is needed to protect the places we live, so that our communities can flourish in a changing climate.
Not able to make on the day, you can add your story to the StoryMap in your own time!
We will provide free warm lunch (soup) and light refreshments in our community space at Duncan Place. This is a no alcohol event.
