About this Event
Thursday 29 October 2026 | 7–9pm
7 Temples Eco Wellbeing, 8 Third Avenue, Hove, BN3 2PX
We’re delighted to be relaunching Climate Women — our monthly circles for women who are passionate about the planet and want to connect, learn, share ideas and take positive action together.
And we have a new home!
From October onwards, Climate Women will be gathering on the last Thursday of every month at 7 Temples Eco Wellbeing in Hove, creating a safe, positive, nurturing and creative space for women who care about our planet and want to make a difference.
So get the dates in your diary!
🌱 OUR FIRST CIRCLE: THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY — WHAT CAN WE DO?
To relaunch Climate Women, we’ll come together to watch the People’s Emergency Briefing — a powerful 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts to explore the reality of the climate and nature crisis.
National Emergency Briefing
The briefing looks at what climate and nature breakdown could mean for everyday life in the UK, including extreme weather, food security, public health, the cost of living and economic stability.
But this isn't going to be a doom-and-gloom evening.
Climate Women is about turning concern into connection — and connection into action.
Following the screening, we’ll come together in circle to reflect, share our thoughts and explore what the briefing means for us, our communities and the future we want to create.
We’ll create space to ask:
🌍 What are we feeling and thinking after hearing the evidence?
💚 What gives us hope?
🤝 What can we do together that we can't do alone?
✨ What is one action we are ready to take?
We’ll finish the evening with a Climate Women pledge for action, giving each of us the opportunity to name one thing we will take forward.
And, of course, there will be plenty of time to connect and network with other women who care about the planet.
💚 A NEW HOME FOR CLIMATE WOMEN
Climate Women was founded by international speaker, writer and Futuremaker Benita Matofska, and is now being relaunched with Belle Amatt, Nutritionist and Senior Lecturer in Naturopathic Nutrition, with support from 7 Temples founder Kelinda, owner of 7 Temples.
We’re excited to be partnering with 7 Temples Eco Wellbeing to create a regular space where women can come together, build relationships, exchange ideas, support one another and turn our shared passion for the planet into action.
Whether you’ve been part of Climate Women before or this is your first circle, you are very welcome. You don't need to be a climate expert. You don't need to have all the answers. Just bring your curiosity, your passion for the planet and your willingness to connect.
🥑 BRING & SHARE
We’ll be sharing food and conversation, so please bring a small vegan dip or nibbles to share if you can.
💚 PAY-IT-FORWARD DONATION
The event is free to book on Eventbrite, but we operate on a pay-it-forward donation model to help cover the costs of hosting the circles at 7 Temples.
We ask for a £5–£8 donation on the door, depending on what you can afford.
Every contribution helps us keep Climate Women going and makes it possible for us to create these regular spaces for connection, learning and action.
