Climate Risk and Resilience Planning in Healthcare for WA

Come join us for an informative event focusing on climate risk and resilience planning in the healthcare sector in Western Australia. This in-person event will take place at level 11/200 St Georges Terrace. Drawing on climate risk analysis undertaken at State-level, and resilience planning done for healthcare, Nick and Mark will be talking about the climate hazards facing healthcare infrastructure and design strategies for improving resilience.

Nicholas is a director of sustanable systems at Aurecon, and has been working in the field of sustanability in the built environment for 25 years. His multidisciplinary experience has given him a solid technical understanding of all the critical elements of a city and enables him to see synergies between what are typically considered separate disciplines. He is thus adept at developing integral solutions to the problems posed by climate change to development.

He was a contributing author of the book “Buildings for Extreme Environments: Arid”, published by CIBSE, an associate editor of the Institution of Civil Engineers’ journal, “Engineering Sustainability”, and has written various papers and presented several times at international conferences on sustainability.

Dr Mark Davie is the health leader in Western Australia for Aurecon, with a background in building services engineering and sustainable design. Mark has a PhD and is a published author in engineering design and simulation. Mark is the chair of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers for Australia, helping to advance and promote the art, science and practice of building services engineering.

Mark is passionate about designing better-performing healthcare buildings and improving existing healthcare facilities for society and the environment.

Join us for an evening of insightful discussions and valuable networking opportunities. This is your chance to connect with like-minded professionals and stay ahead in healthcare planning. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity!
