About this Event
On behalf of the City of York Council, we invite you to join us in marking the Clifford Tower Memorial on 16th March 2026 at 6:30pm at York Castle Museum.
The Clifford’s Tower Memorial is a commemoration to mark the 1190 massacre of York’s Jewish population at Clifford’s Tower. This commemoration will provide an opportunity to remember and honour the Jewish men, women, and children who lost their lives.
Hosted by the Civic Party, the evening will include guest speakers and prayers.
Through readings, moments of reflection, and the presence of civic, faith, and community partners, we seek to create a space for collective remembrance.
We do hope that you can join us to mark this important event.
