About this Event
Employers are facing increasing pressures on their workforces, juggling issues including health-related absences, neurodiversity, caring responsibilities, integrating new young starters – often all at once.
Join us for this morning event of networking, practical talks, and facilitated discussion.
The event will share clear, real-world tips and tools to help businesses to build more inclusive and resilient workplaces. Attendees will have the opportunity to share experiences and challenges with each other, participate in an introductory sessions on techniques to resolving these challenges, and practices new skills.
As part of the discussions, there will also be opportunities to provide direct insights and recommendations from local businesses with the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. This insights will help to inform future business support and policy on the employment agenda. The session will be informal and rooted in the realities that face small and medium-sized employers.
This event is hosted by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority supported by Curious Edge and AMION Consulting.

· 9:30-10:00 – Session 1: Sharing workforce challenges and setting goals.
· 10:00-12:00 - Session 2: Having the right conversations - Introducing and practicing the Grow Model for a resilient workforce. (Will contain a 15 minute break).
· 12:00-12:30 – Discussion: How can local government help you reach your workforce goals?
· 12:30 – Finish.
