🎨 Clay & Connection: A Two-Part Pottery Workshop 🩷Northshore Girls That is excited to partner with the St. Tammany Art Association for a special hands-on pottery workshop led by NSGT member and artist Kathy Hughes!
Join us for a beginner-friendly, two-session experience where you will create your own Origami Bowl from a clay slab. During the first session, you will shape your bowl and incorporate texture and additions such as feet or a base to make your piece uniquely yours. During the second session, you will glaze your finished bowl to add color before it is fired.

Your registration includes the workshop fee, materials, firing of your finished piece, and a small Northshore Girls That administrative fee.
Please note: Attendance at both sessions is required. The first session will focus on creating your bowl, and the second session will focus on glazing your finished piece.
✨ Meet Your Instructor
This workshop will be led by NSGT member Kathy Hughes.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a focus in Ceramics and a Master of Education in Art Education. She taught Talent Visual Art in Jefferson Parish Public Schools for 26 years and has been a practicing encaustic painter for the past 25 years. Her work is represented by Cole Pratt Gallery in New Orleans.
🧡 What to Bring
Please wear clothing you do not mind getting a little messy. Aprons will be available.
