About this Event

A half-day, in-person intensive for building fluency across the full range of Anthropic Claude's features and capabilities — from settings, models, and Chat to Projects, Skills, Connectors, Plugins, Scheduled tasks, Agents, Artifacts, and Claude Code.

We will spend the morning working in Claude, but the skills are highly transferable. The ways we structure context, choose tools, direct AI, and move from conversation to completed work also apply to other AI platforms.

How the morning runs

1. Surfaces, Models, and Settings

  • Where to access Claude — browser, extension, mobile app, desktop app, terminal, and inside other apps
  • Settings, usage, memory, and data privacy
  • Which model to use when, and setting effort
  • Live Voice mode

2. Chat

  • A simple prompting framework: task, context, output, and constraints
  • What Chat is best for

3. Features

  • Projects
  • Skills
  • Connectors
  • Plugins
  • Slash commands
  • Scheduled tasks
  • Agents

Break

4. Artifacts

  • Documents, decks, dashboards, and designs
  • Choosing a project of your own

5. Claude Code

  • Animations, illustrations, websites, and small tools

12:00–12:30 p.m. · Build and share (optional)
Work on your project, then share what worked, what didn't, and what you learned.

A light lunch, coffee, and drinks are provided.

Who it is for

This is designed for beginner-to-intermediate AI users who have experimented with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI platform. You should be able to find your way around the basics and be ready to move beyond experimentation into more capable, connected ways of working.

What you need

A paid Claude account is required. Claude's $20-per-month paid plan is sufficient to begin. Usage limits can vary, so if you reach your limit during the intensive and want to continue working, be prepared to upgrade to a higher tier for the month.

Bring your laptop and charger. A separate requirements email with setup instructions will be sent to registered attendees before the event.

Your registration

Admission is $399 and includes the intensive, the optional build and share session, a light lunch, coffee, and drinks. Seats are limited to 25.

Sending three or more people from one organization is $359 per seat, booked together in one order.

If your team needs to pay for seats separately rather than in one order, or your employer needs an invoice and a W-9, email [email protected] before you register.

A certificate of completion

Everyone who completes the morning receives a certificate recording three contact hours across Claude's features and capabilities, and the work built during the session. (Note: it is not issued by Anthropic.)

If your employer is paying

Here is an email you can forward to your manager:

Subject: Approval for a training morning — Claude Fluency Intensive, January 13

Hi [Manager],

I'd like to attend the Claude Fluency Intensive on Wednesday, January 13. It's a half-day, hands-on class covering the full range of Anthropic Claude's features, run by Angie Carel here in Fort Wayne.

The details:

— Wednesday, January 13, 9:00 a.m. to noon, with an optional build session until 12:30 p.m. I'd be out for the morning and back after lunch
— $399 per seat, which covers the session and lunch

Two things worth noting. It needs a paid Claude account — the $20/month plan is enough to start, and I may need to upgrade for that one month if I hit usage limits. And registration is through Eventbrite, so it can go on a card, or Angie can invoice us directly if that's easier for accounting. She also has a team rate if anyone else wants to come.

Thanks,
[Name]
