Come learn how to do Kinusaiga, a Japanese art form created by artist Setsu Maeno. Kinusaiga transforms fabric scraps into a beautiful artwork by tucking them into a foam board. Because the fabric is held in place by tension in the foam, no needle, thread, or sewing experience is needed. I'll bring a couple different templates or you can freehand your own design!
Note: We'll be using craft knives to cut our designs, so comfort working with sharp tools is recommended.
All materials will be provided, but if you'd like to you can bring your own pair of fabric scissors plus any fabric/ fabric scraps you want to use in your piece!
* Pre-registration required.
** Class fees are non-refundable
