Uncorked Vintage Academia brings you an unique inside look at the world's Madonna variety: Pinot! And joining us as guest specialist to talk about it is beloved local pinotphile Certified Wine Sommelier Malon Lemoins, WSETII of Blurred Vines.
Pinot is a grape that has a documented winemaking history since the reign of Philip III (think the Ninth Crusades in 1280's), and it is also a cultivar that mutates easily, so we're using its palette to discover similarities and differences between Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir.
A great comparative tasting not offered anywhere else! Boutique sustainable and biodynamic producers, some young pinots, some slightly matured at 10 years old, and an older library specimen from the 1960's - to see how groovy it still is! You dig?
We'll share from our library over 15 wines from several countries:
