Clapton's Dominos: The Music of Eric Clapton and Derek and The Dominos
FEAT: JT CURTIS
Live at Cafe Wha? | Thurs Sep 25th | 6:30PM Show, 5:30PM Doors
Clapton’s Dominos celebrates the 55th anniversary of the recording of the iconic Layla album by Derek and the Dominos. Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs is still regarded as one of rock’s finest albums, featuring the immortal guitar work of Eric Clapton and Duane Allman. Layla was a story of Eric Clapton’s hopeless love for George Harrison’s wife, Patti Boyd. She was the inspiration behind classics like Layla, Bell Bottom Blues, Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad, and even inspiring Clapton to perform some of his best blues covers like Have You Ever Loved a Woman. Patti would even inspire later Clapton recordings like Wonderful Tonight. Clapton’s Dominos tells the love story through classic songs from Derek and the Dominos and even Eric Clapton’s solo career - an event you don’t want to miss!
