PAYMENT
All payments are due at the time of sign up. Please reach out to any of our Court Kitten accounts if you have any unresolved payment issues as these must be sorted out prior to first game of pool play.
We will NOT sign up players if payments are not set at time of sign ups, we will not be holding spots. The only way to secure your spot is to pay at the time of sign up!

Registrations closes at 10:00am on September 20th, 2026. After this time, no players will be accepted for registration.

Refunds:
Refunds/ Cancellations are approved up to 1 week before the tournament. All players that cancel 1 week before will receive full refund paid.
Refund/Cancellation must be requested by 10:00am on Sunday September 20th. After 10:00am on Sunday September 20th, individuals may cancel however there will not be any refunds processed, players and teams will lose their deposit.

Tournament Division Options
1. Recreational Division
- This division is for players that do have some experience with sand but want to play at slower pace. This division is for plays that do not play sand regularly or have not played in sand leagues or tournament often.
If you usually place last or 2nd to last in our sand tournaments, join this division!
2. Intermediate and Above Division
- This division is for seasoned sand players. Players that play often and compete often in sand level. (If you play Monday/Thursdays at Four Lakes this is a great division for you to join, if you usually place top 4/5 in our sand tournaments, join this division!)

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
- Sign up INDIVIDUALLY and let us do the rest! (Message Court Kittens to get registered!)
- Players will be randomly placed onto coed teams of 4 for the tournament. Part of the fun of a Blind Draw is that you don’t know exactly who you’re playing with until teams are created.
- This tournament is about competitive volleyball + meeting new people + having a ridiculously fun day in the sand.
Because teams are randomly drawn, you may end up playing with people of different positions, experience levels, and playing styles. Come ready to adapt, hype up your teammates, and compete without taking yourself too seriously.
We will utilizing 2 division options to encourage all levels of signing up and being competitive while also encouraging new players to come out :)

Following pool play, ALL teams advance to a playoff bracket.
Playoff seeding will be determined by:
1. Win/Loss Record
2. Point Differential
3. Total Points Scored

👯 TEAM FORMAT
Teams will consist of 4 players on the court at a time.
Because this is a Coed Blind Draw, Court Kittens will create teams after registration closes with the goal of creating fun and reasonably competitive matchups.
This is a blind draw — you are registering as an individual, not as a pre-made team.
TOURNAMENT CAP
40 Players Maximum
With 4 players per team, a full tournament would create:
10 teams • 2 courts
Registration will close once all 40 player spots are filled.
*In the event we have waitlisted enough for another court, we will notify players and open up for more players.

🏖️ SAND 4s RULES
1. Teams are limited to 4 players on the court.
Only four players may be on the court at one time.
2. No open-hand tips.
Tips must be made using a closed fist, knuckles, or another legal beach contact.
3. Let serves are allowed.
A serve that contacts the net and continues legally over the net remains live.
4. Hand sets over the net must be SQUARE and INTENTIONAL.
Back sets over the net are allowed as long as the player is square and intentionally sending the ball over.
Example: If you are intending to set your right side and the ball accidentally travels over the net, the contact is illegal even if you were square to the net because sending the ball over was not intentional.
5. Hand setting a serve is NOT allowed.
6. Hand setting free balls or roll shots is NOT allowed.
7. A set may be used on first contact ONLY on a hard-driven ball.
This includes an attack-hit or blocked ball. Roll shots are not considered hard-driven and therefore cannot be received with an open-hand set.
8. Jump setting is allowed.
9. Jump serving is allowed.
10. Serves may not be blocked or attacked within the first 10 feet of the net.
11. Foot contacts are allowed.
12. Injury substitutions must be approved.
If a player becomes injured or needs to leave the tournament, a substitute may be used with approval from tournament staff. The substitute should be reasonably comparable to the player being replaced so that the competitive balance of the Blind Draw is maintained.
13. Additional rostered players may rotate between matches.
If a team has more than four rostered players, only four may be on the court during a match. Players may rotate into the lineup for the following match. Injury substitutions during a match should be communicated to tournament staff.

THE BLIND DRAW RULES:
You can pick your division but you don’t pick your team.
You don’t know who you’re getting.
You might meet your new favorite teammate.
Show up. Draw your team. Play some ball. Make some friends. 🏐🍻
For CK Coed Blind draw we will be assigning teams randomly. Each team will get at least 2 girls and 2 guys. This is subject to change pending the amount of sign ups. Official announcement will take place the week before the tournament. Teams will be assigned on Wednesday Sept 23rd.
