The City of Montrose invites the community to attend an open house and learn more about the technical update to the Envision 2040 Montrose Comprehensive Plan.Originally adopted in 2021, Envision 2040 reflects Montrose’s vision for sustainable growth, vibrant neighborhoods, and a resilient future while preserving the community’s small-town character and natural beauty.
This work will build on the extensive community engagement completed as part of the Envision 2040 Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 2021, the 2023 Housing Needs Assessment, and the 2024 Land Development Code update. This update is not intended to revisit the policies and priorities established through those previous processes. Instead, community input will focus on specific technical updates and proposed additions that help keep the plan current and useful.
At the open house, community members will have the opportunity to:
• Review a series of exhibits summarizing the technical update
• Learn more about the plan’s updated elements
• Provide feedback and share their thoughts about the future of Montrose
