PROGRAM Works by three American masters closes City Ballet's dance series celebrating America's 250th anniversary, featuring three iconic ballets from the 20th century. CONCERTO BAROCCO Choreography: George Balanchine (1941) Music: "Concerto in D minor for Two Violins, BWV 1043" by Johann Sebastian Bach (1730) ASH Choreography: Peter Martins (1991) Music: "Ash" by Michael Torke (1991) LIGHT RAIN San Diego Premiere Choreography: Gerald Arpino (1981) Music: Douglas Adamz and Russ Gauthier (1981) PRE-PERFORMANCE LECTURE City Ballet of San Diego Artistic Director Steven Wistrich offers insights and perspectives into the program. The lecture begins 45 minutes prior to the performance.
