Art meets – for artists looking for a discussion forum
Meet other artists to present and discuss your work in a mutually supportive environment. This may be an opportunity to explore more. We are offering a monthly meeting that might offer a number of ways to discuss our art.
Forthcoming 2026 art meet dates
28th June kick off for 2026 group project – artists books, freeform – any shape as long as it is a concertina book (I think, that is what I have noted). We need to each bring something as a springboard and to then pass on to someone else for the next stage. The aim is to have a small exhibition of finished works early in 2027. If we can’t attend then a book can be left and picked up at CA between meetings.
26th July: Isabel on Urban sketching
23rd August: Helen Long on ceramics, Nerikomi and more
September – no meeting
18th October: Angela will discuss her project, Common
15th November: to coincide with an exhibition at CA, Fire and Ice Exhibition, the photographer, Heather Tongue will be invited to talk about her work
20th December: Christmas meeting – reveal of final artists books and Christmas nibbles
