Taking some time out from his tour with Crack Cloud, Wallace bring his anarchistic electro-punk project CITIZENRY to Birmingham!
Infused with teen-vandal spray paint energy and delivered as a bombastic experimental package, CITIZENRY showcases Wallace's raw and uninhabited energy. The project combines late 80s gothy cyberpunk with experimental 90s electro.
Based in Toronto ON, CITIZENRY spans influences and dynamics that range from punchy dance tracks reminiscent of electro pioneers The Chemical Brothers and Prodigy, to a more modern approach influenced by the likes of Holy Fuck and Sextile.
This work is a departure from Wallace's usual role behind the kit, where he provides the backbone for Preoccupations, Women and various other projects.
CITIZENRY's debut album was written and recorded while travelling and touring across the world in multiple places like hotel rooms, the back of a van and karaoke rooms in Asia. It features (Kali Horse) as guest vocalist on multiple tracks.
