Last summer, when Wendy M. Levy was putting together the first Circuits in the Woods, she kept telling herself, “I hope this music festival goes so well, the only logical conclusion is to do it again.”
Here we are. It’s a new year, and Circuits in the Woods is coming back to downtown Brattleboro on Saturday, October 24, bringing musicians, artists, educators, and audiences together for a full-day celebration of electronics in music. Numerous musical genres are represented at Circuits 2026, including hip-hop, experimental improv, heavy psych, deep groove, yacht rock, operatic pop, ambient, motorik, synth pop, and music that defies categorization.
Presented at four venues on Main Street, Circuits 2026 features 20+ performances, workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences with electronic instruments. Its program brings together electronic music pioneers, contemporary performers, regional artists, and curious participants of all ages and levels of experience. The locations are Marigold Theater, Tavernier Chocolates, Turn It Up!, and The Wonky Press. Levy notes, "The venues worked out so well last year. The owners and workers were welcoming and helpful to us, the artists, and the attendees, and it all sounded great. I'm very happy to be working with them all again this year.
