Circl8 Radio presents Weeds, with support from StartripperSaturday 6 February 2027, G21 at The Saddle, Chester
Circl8 Radio is a grassroots, independent community station built by volunteers who love music, and this is us doing what we do best: bringing people together in a room for sounds that deserve one.
Weeds formed in Leeds in 1985, record remotely, and are known to very occasionally gig, which makes a night like this one worth catching. Expect tight indie dance with punk rock sensibilities and clever wordplay, the kind of music that gets your feet moving and your brain working. There’s a Chester connection in the line-up too, with bassist Ian Campbell having lived in our local area.
Opening the night is Startripper, a psychedelic DIY spacerock collective from right here in Chester, taking in elements of prog, ambient, shoegaze and indie along the way, and part of the Neon Krishna Records universe. They’ll be joined on the night by Shem Sharples on bass.
Doors are at 6pm (UK), with the music wrapping up around 10pm (UK) so everyone can catch the trains home to Manchester. Tickets are £10, and with a room this size numbers are limited. This is a fully DIY night, put together by people who care about the music. Come and spend it with us.
