Get ready for the witching hour . . . Join CinéWilde Friday, October 23rd at 9pm for a screening of the 1996 horror fantasy classic The Craft! Developed by the out gay writer and director Andrew Fleming, the film explores themes of being an outsider and rebelling against heteronormative and religious norms.
The Craft is considered a queer cult classic and follows Sarah (Robin Tunney) who has recently transferred to a Los Angeles high school. Sarah finds that her telekinetic gift appeals to a group of three wannabe witches, who happen to be seeking a fourth member for their rituals.
Before the film, we’ll have an audience Q&A with Q Cinema, a Fort Worth based queer film festival that’s returning November 13th to 15th, 2026 after a brief hiatus. We’ll discuss the queer subtext weaved throughout The Craft, and the great work Q Cinema is doing to share international queer films with our community.
Keep an eye out for more details about our post-show event.
