Vivant seule dans son appartement londonien, Georgie, 12 ans, doit faire face à la réalité lorsque son père, Jason, revient dans sa vie. Peu intéressée par cette nouvelle figure parentale apparue soudainement, elle résiste obstinément à ses efforts. Alors qu’ils s’adaptent tous deux à leur nouvelle situation, Georgie et Jason se rendent vite compte qu’ils ont encore beaucoup à apprendre sur la vie.
