☀Կինոռեժիսոր, կինոգետ ու վիպասան Ժան Էպշտայնը ֆրանսիական իմպրեսիոնիստական կինոյի ռահվիրա էր և 20-րդ դարի սկզբի ամենաարտասովոր արվեստագետներից, իսկ «Աշխարհի վերջը» (1929)՝ համր կինոյի գագաթնակետերից մեկն է։
☀☀Ամեն կադրը մի կտավ է, մոնտաժային ամեն մի հնարք՝ նորարարություն։ Աներևակայելի խոշոր պլանները միաձուլվում են առօրյան այլմորորակային դարձնող դանդաղեցված կադրերով այս ֆիլմում, որի առանցքում չորս ձկնորսներն են, որոնք ջրիմուռ են հավաքում բրետոնական մեկուսի կղզիներից մեկում։ Երբ նրանցից մեկը հիվանդանում է ու սկսում հալյուցինացիաներ տեսնել, մայրցամաք հասնելը կյանքի ու մահվան հարց է դառնում։
👉Սինե-ակումբը, որն այս տարի 5 տարեկան է դառնում, Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանության/Հայաստանում ֆրանսիական ինստիտուտի, «Ֆիլմադարան» ՀԿ-ի և Հայաստանի ազգային գրադարանի համատեղ նախագիծն է։

☀Réalisateur, théoricien du cinéma et écrivain, Jean Epstein fut l’un des pionniers du cinéma impressionniste français et l’un des artistes les plus singuliers du début du XXe siècle. Son film « Finis Terræ » (1929) est considéré comme l'un des chefs d’œuvre du cinéma muet.
☀☀Chaque plan est un tableau, chaque procédé de montage une innovation. D’incroyables gros plans se mêlent à des ralentis qui transforment le quotidien en une expérience presque irréelle
Le film suit quatre pêcheurs récoltant des algues sur une île isolée de Bretagne. Lorsque l’un d’eux tombe malade et commence à délirer, rejoindre le continent devient une question de vie ou de mort.
👉Le Ciné-club, qui fête cette année ses 5 ans, est un projet conjoint de l’Ambassade de France / l’Institut français en Arménie, de l’ONG « Filmadaran » et de la Bibliothèque nationale d’Arménie.

☀Film director, theorist, and novelist Jean Epstein was a pioneer of French Impressionist cinema and one of the most extraordinary artists of the early 20th century, while "The End of the World" (1929) stands as one of the peaks of silent cinema.
☀☀Every frame is a canvas; every editing cut - an innovation. Incredible close-ups merge with slow-motion shots that turn the everyday into something otherworldly in this film centered on four fishermen harvesting seaweed on a remote Breton island. When one of them falls ill and begins to hallucinate, reaching the mainland becomes a matter of life and death.
👉The Ciné-Club, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, is a joint project of the Embassy of France / Institut français d’Arménie, the Filmadaran NGO, and the National Library of Armenia.
