Cinema & Page is an evening of film and conversation presented with Baldwin & Co., New Orleans’ Black-owned bookstore. We screen something worth arguing about, then talk about it — with the books that sit alongside it right there in the room, available to take home.
New Orleans Black Education History Week is brought to you with significant support from the Institute of Mental Hygiene.
How the night runs
Doors and browsing at 5pm. Screening, then an open conversation. Books and merchandise for sale on site, curated to what’s on the screen.
Film selection and featured guests to be announced.
Who it’s for
All ages welcome. Bar available for guests 21 and over.

The Community Gallery at Merchant Hall is open noon to 5 p.m. the same day — a timeline wall of this city’s Black education history and five stations for the pillars of Black Educational Brilliance. Free.
