Stand-up comedian D.J. Demers blends sharp writing, dry delivery, and personal storytelling into a style that’s both smart and effortlessly funny. Known for appearances on late-night television and comedy festivals across North America, he brings a unique perspective to everyday life, relationships, and living with hearing loss. D.J. has performed on The Tonight Show (twice), Conan (three times), Don‘t Tell Comedy, and America‘s Got Talent. His clever stand-up has earned him multiple appearances at Just For Laughs, a nomination for Best Comedy Album at the Junos (i.e. the Canadian Grammys), and a growing legion of fans around the world.D.J. is the star and creator of the CBC series One More Time, a half-hour workplace comedy that follows DJ, the hard-of-hearing manager of a second-hand sporting goods store, and the team of misfit employees he leads. The “heartwarming new comedy that will have audiences laughing until their stomachs hurt“ (Now Toronto) was nominated for nine awards at the Canadian Screen Awards. D.J. was nominated for Best Lead Performer in a Comedy Series.
He has released five stand-up specials that have been played millions of times on the major streaming platforms. D.J. regularly tours clubs, colleges, and corporate events across North America.
