Chucho Valdés is a giant and master of Afro-Cuban jazz. Over a six-decade long career, the Cuban pianist, composer and arranger has kept the flame burning for the genre, while also constantly pushing its boundaries. He is perhaps best known as the founder of Irakere, a groundbreaking ensemble of musicians and one of the most revered groups in Cuban music history. He’s won shelves-full of Grammys® and other music awards, and he continues to champion the music of his homeland with dynamic performances. Tickets go on sale to the public on Aug. 7.
