Come and spend a few hours getting gloriously festive with florist, designer and all-round creative Clare Wood of Blossom & Wood, as she guides you through creating your own beautiful Christmas wreath.
Clare brings years of professional floristry and creative design experience to the workshop, having trained with renowned florists Paula Pryke and the late Jane Packer, and created floral displays and installations for weddings, hotels, stately homes and private events.
Most importantly, she has a wonderful instinct for colour, texture and putting things together in unexpected ways — and she'll be sharing plenty of that with us.
What you'll make
Using a beautiful selection of fresh seasonal foliage, greenery, twigs and natural materials, Clare will take you step-by-step through constructing and decorating your own Christmas wreath.
You'll learn how to build up shape and texture, work with different foliage and create a wreath that feels balanced and abundant before finishing it with ribbon and decorative details.
There isn't a prescribed “perfect wreath” to copy. Clare will help you create something that reflects your own taste — whether you like your Christmas beautifully traditional, natural and understated or decidedly more exuberant!
No previous floristry experience is needed. Clare will demonstrate each stage and be on hand throughout, with Danielle assisting, so there will be plenty of help whenever you need it.
Everything you need is included
We'll provide all the fresh foliage and natural materials you'll need to create your wreath, together with ribbon and decorative details.
If you have a particular ribbon, colour scheme, favourite trimming or something special you'd like to incorporate, please bring it along. We love the idea of everyone's wreath leaving the workshop looking completely different.
We just ask that you bring:
A pair of hand secateurs — the sort you'd use for pruning in the garden — and a pair of gardening or work gloves.
And because it's Christmas...
We'll welcome you with a glass of mulled wine and settle in for a relaxed few hours of making, chatting and getting thoroughly into the Christmas spirit.
You'll leave with your finished handmade wreath ready to hang on your door — and, hopefully, feeling rather pleased with yourself.
