Foraging Fridays gets festive! A cosy, creative gathering where we'll turn seasonal greenery into beautiful Christmas decorationsAbout this Event
Fridays (and sometimes Thursadys...the new Friday!) are made for slowing down a little, and I'd love for you to join me for something rather festive.
If you've come along to one of our Foraging Fridays before, you'll know that they're not your typical follow-along workshop. We gather around the table, explore what the season has to offer, try something new and see where our creativity takes us.
For the colder, darker months, we're bringing that same spirit indoors with Holiday Home, our Christmas edition of Foraging Fridays.
I'll do the foraging and gathering beforehand, so you'll arrive to a wonderful selection of seasonal greenery, vines, seed heads and other natural materials, alongside all the lovely traditional Christmas bits and pieces.
Think evergreen branches, grapevines, thistles, pinecones, dried oranges, cinnamon, ribbons, ornaments and whatever else nature has kindly provided.
And then we'll get making!
What will you take home?
- One substantial handmade Christmas decoration of your choosing — a wreath, swag, garland or table centrepiece, within the materials and sizes available.
- Your own small batch of homemade holiday incense, with guidance for using it safely.
- A few new creative skills and ideas you can use again at home.
Everything you need will be ready and waiting, including the greenery, decorative materials, tools and guidance.
More than just making things...
Our workshop is intentionally casual because one of my favourite things is watching strangers become friends. Arriving on your own or with a friend, you are likely to leave having exchanged numbers and made new connections.
That's what Correll Club is all about. Alongside your handmade gifts, I hope you'll leave with some lovely memories, new connections and a little breathing space from the Christmas rush.
Are you ready to deck the halls?
If your idea of Christmas making involves fresh greenery, pinecones, dried oranges and the wonderful smell of the festive season, have a look at our Holiday Home workshops.
Using a combination of traditional decorations and thoughtfully gathered natural materials including grapevines, evergreen foliage, thistles and other seasonal finds, we'll create beautiful pieces for the home.
Think Christmas wreaths, garlands, table centrepieces and other festive decorations, alongside homemade incense inspired by the scents of the season.
It's another opportunity to slow down, make something lovely and enjoy some good company.
A little note about our dogs...
Our workshop is shared with two friendly (and occasionally diva-like) dogs.
They're usually very interested in welcoming visitors and can be a little vocal when everyone first arrives. Once we're busy making, they're generally happy to potter about or find somewhere comfortable to supervise.
If you have allergies or feel uncomfortable around dogs, please get in touch before booking.
And when the days get longer…
Foraging Fridays — Spring & Summer
Holiday Home is our seasonal take on the original Foraging Fridays, which returns when the evenings are lighter and the weather is kinder.
During the spring and summer months, we'll head out onto the common together for a gentle forage, discovering what the season has to offer.
We'll gather fruits, flowers, foliage and other suitable natural materials before returning to the workshop, where the evening takes a more open-ended approach.
Some people might be making preserves, while others are trying botanical printing, natural crafts or something completely different.
You don't have to follow the same project as everyone else. The idea is to explore, experiment and enjoy being creative together.
And, when the weather allows, we'll finish with a little food and conversation around the fire pit.
Same welcoming atmosphere, different seasonal treasures.
