Join The Henry Girls for their annual Christmas concert in the beautiful surroundings of St Augustine’s Church.
The Henry Girls are sisters Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin from the northernmost part of County Donegal. The trio formed in 2001 after Karen and Lorna returned from Australia, where they had begun performing and writing songs. With Joleen already establishing herself as a talented harpist and pianist, the sisters joined forces and recorded their debut album later that year, produced by Máire Breatnach.
Since then, they have released six studio albums, several EPs, and a live album celebrating the music of The Boswell Sisters of New Orleans. Deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of Donegal while embracing a transatlantic influence, their music has been described by fRoots magazine as "full-bodied and powerfully dynamic."
Renowned for their exquisite vocal harmonies and musicianship, The Henry Girls seamlessly blend traditional Irish music with contemporary influences, earning critical acclaim and a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic.
Beyond their recording and touring work, they have composed and performed music for theatre productions, dance works, children's shows, film and television. Their contribution to the soundtrack for the Canadian-Irish film A Shine of Rainbows earned them an IFTA nomination.

Are children allowed to attend?
Yes. Young people aged 12 and over are welcome to attend when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note that both the young person and accompanying adult must hold a valid ticket for entry.
