🎄 Join The Curious Travelers Circle for a Victorian Christmas Tea at historic Patterson Homestead! For our December gathering, we’ll step back into 19th-century America and experience an afternoon-tea tradition that began in England and became a treasured social custom for women in Victorian America.
Patterson Homestead was established in 1816 and was once home to Revolutionary War soldier and Lexington, Kentucky, founder Colonel Robert Patterson, as well as NCR founder John H. Patterson.
Our afternoon will include three courses of breads, sandwiches, and desserts based on historic Victorian-era recipes. We’ll also enjoy two specially selected loose-leaf teas—one black and one herbal.
As we enjoy tea, we’ll learn about the Patterson family, the historic Homestead, and life in Victorian America. Afterward, we may tour the home at our leisure, with costumed interpreters available to answer questions.
