We are excited to host the annual Village of Orland Park Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting & Festival on Saturday, November 28, 2026 at the Village Green! The parade begins at 5 p.m. immediately followed by the tree lighting and festival. Festivities will include the spectacular lighted decor display on the village lawn, tree lighting ceremony, holiday games/crafts, live entertainment and much more. Santa will be joining us to complete the holiday fun.We are seeking a variety of enthusiastic units to help ring in the season in a festive manner in our HOLIDAY LIGHTS ON RAVINIA parade! Parade participation is FREE; we only ask that your unit/entry displays holiday spirit with light elements! Participants can decorate a float, vehicle, participate as a walking, dancing or performing unit with at least 50% light elements. And entries are due by November 2, 2026. (Applicants will be notified by November 6, 2026)
HOLIDAY LIGHTS ON RAVINIA PARADE:
1. 4 p.m.: Staging (151st/Ravinia)
2. 5 p.m.: Parade (north on Ravinia from 151st to 146th)
3. Route length: .40 mile
4. Parade length: 45-60 minutes (pending number of parade entries)
COMMUNITY TREE TRIM
Get your families, friends or co-workers to adopt a tree to decorate in their own special way at the 12th Annual Community Tree Trim. The community trees will be part of the spectacular lawn decor starting on Saturday, November 28 at our Christmas Festival and will remain up through Monday, January 4, 2027.
1. $25 to adopt a tree
2. Trees available on a first-come, first-served basis
3. Trees are approximately 5’ tall and will include white lights
4. You provide the decorations (hand-made or store bought)
5. Tree decoration needs to be completed by Saturday, November 28, 2026
6. Groups/organizations can have a tree sponsor
7. Trees will be assigned and labeled with each organization and tree sponsor name, if applicable
8. Please remove decorations by Monday, January 4, 2027
HOLIDAY MARKET VENDORS
We are seeking holiday themed kid’s items, face painters, food and drink vendors for both indoors and outdoors at the Christmas Festival. The outdoor event components include parade, tree lighting ceremony, spectacular lawn structures, community tree trim decorated trees and more! The indoor (Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia) event components include coloring contest display, holiday kids' games, crafts, DJ, performances from local organizations and more! Interested in becoming a vendor at our Christmas Festival? Contact [email protected]. Entries are due by November 2, 2026. Vendor space fee is $30 or $65 for space with electricity.
TREE LIGHTING
The annual tree lighting is scheduled just east of Village Hall starting at the conclusion of the parade. The Carl Sandburg HS Chamber Singers will lead us in carols before Mayor Dodge and our community countdown to the official lighting at approximately 6 p.m.
