Every December, the Town of Flower Mound rings in the holidays with the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting! This year the event will be on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, with festivities starting at Gerault Park (1200 Gerault Rd.) at 5:30 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m. at Spinks Road and Garden Ridge, ending at Gerault Park, near the Flower Mound Community Activity Center. Following the parade, there will be a tree lighting ceremony, along with live performances from local groups, pictures with Santa, a community tent, food trucks, kids' activities, a fireworks show, and more.This year, the theme is A Star-Spangled Christmas: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom and Festivity! As the event draws near, we'll add more information to this event page and www.flowermound.gov/parade.
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀
All local organizations, youth groups, businesses, non-profits, and more are invited to participate! While there is no entry fee, we request that each participant in your group donate at least one canned food item to benefit the Christian Community Action Canned Food Drive.
While decorating your floats, keep in mind this year’s parade theme, A Star-Spangled Christmas: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom and Festivity! Aimed at celebrating the holidays and honoring our country’s historic milestone, we hope the theme helps inspire some great designs and displays for your float. If our judges like your float the best, your group could win a non-cash prize!
