Information about Rory
I have had a fascination for Japan since childhood, when my father took me to a screening of The Seven Samurai. A short while later he was given a copy of Robert Harbin's 'Origami 1: The Art of Paper Folding', from which he tried folding the Printer's Hat, satisfying himself that origami was not for him. He gave the book to me and I was captivated by the paper magic it revealed to me. I have been a professional illustrator and computer graphics sculptor all my adult life and the artist in me truly appreciates the succinct elegance of a great origami model's ability to capture the essence of a form, be it cup, cat or car.
I hope to instil in you some of this joy, through the learning of how to make Christmas themed origami models, which I have carefully selected for relative simplicity of construction and the stylish impact of the finished pieces.
