DESCRIPTION:
Let's hit the streets of Philadelphia at this special time of year and visit some of the popular light displays while enjoying a social night out in the city.
We will start at Uptown Beer Garden across from Love Park. From there we will cruise through Dilworth Plaza as we make our way to South Phila passing some points of interest along the way- we won't have time to stop at all of them, but you will be able to enjoy the festive decorations and holiday vibe as we pass by. We will of course stop on Miracle on 13th Street and you will have time for pictures, etc....
I have mapped out a 5.5 ish mile route that starts in Center City, goes to Miracle on 13th and then loops back to starting point. Hike end time estimate is around 9pm
Pace between stops will be about 3.0 and hike will be social in nature. Festive dress encouraged and feel free to "celebrate" along the way...:)
PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at the Uptown Beer Garden located at 16th and John F Kennedy Blvd in center city Phila.
(Suburban station is right across from Uptown Beer Garden which makes taking regional rail an easy option to avoid traffic and parking cost/stress)
GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY: This is rare event in which guests are ok. Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend an event. Repeated no shows or a history of signing up and dropping off excessively when there is a wait list will exclude you from being moved off of future wait lists and special events.
